Meet the Team

John Staab

John Staab is the owner of AA Inspections. He is a State licensed Home Inspector as well as a state licensed General Contractor. He is also a retired Captain with the City of Delray Beach and a paramedic. He has been trained in special operations procedures such as hazards materials, dive rescue and confined spaces rescue.

In addition, John has had a long career, over 35 years, in the construction industry, working in all phases of construction from road building, running heavy equipment to residential remodeling, fencing and hurricane shutters. John has been performing home inspections and wind mitigations since 2007. He loves home building, remodeling and real estate investing. He has been married to Judi Staab for 26 years and has two adult children, Jack, who is an inspector in training and Samantha a junior at The University of Central Florida. In his off time John enjoys boating, biking and DIY projects.

Judi Staab

Judi Staab – Full time office manager for AA Inspections. Judi will cheerfully take your call to schedule the inspection appointment. Judi is a licensed real estate agent but transitioned to working full time with John in 2007. Judi is in charge of all administrative duties at AA Inspections, including accounting, marketing, scheduling and reporting.

Judi is originally from Sarasota FL. She attended the University of Florida and Barry university and has a degree in Behavioral Sciences. Her work history, includes 16 years with Delta Airlines as a flight attendant and real estate sales. Judi enjoys spending time with family & friends, reading, boating, yoga and watching sports.

Jack Staab

Jack Staab is an apprentice Inspector. Jack is the son of Judi & John Staab. He is the 3rd generation of Home Inspectors in the family. Jack is a personable and hard-working member of our team. He helps with all aspects of the business from customer service to wind mitigation and full home inspections. Jack is working towards becoming a licensed Home Inspector.

Jonathan Smoil

Jonathan Smoil is a Florida licensed Home Inspector. He has been working with AA Inspections since 2018. He moved to Florida in 2015 from Connecticut, where he worked as a carpenter specializing in finish work. He also holds an associates degree in sound engineering from the New England Institute of Art in Boston. In 2012 Jon designed and built a recording studio that he operated before moving to FL. He has one son, Joseph.
